Minutes from the meeting in Palo Alto were approved. The agenda for this meeting and the timeline for balloting were reviewed.
Merritt discussed the upcoming transition in SSSWG sponsorship.
Geoff brought a new version of Architecture to the meeting. Joel brought new versions of LMP and DMP, as well as comments from PC Hariharan's review of all five drafts. Jan produced a new version of SSAIP based on PC's comments. The greater part of the meeting was spent in detailed review of Architecture.
The group concluded that all of the drafts except MMP would be ready for pre-review by balloters a week after the end of this meeting. MMP is held to be technically correct, but needing revision for readability. It was estimated that no more than three weeks would be required to revise MMP. When all five drafts are ready for pre-review, potential balloters will be notified of their availability. Jack will send a draft invitation letter and contact information for balloters to the IEEE Balloting Department next week.
Next Meeting. December 1-3, 1999, The Higher Education and Advanced Technology (HEAT) Center, Aberdeen, Maryland, USA. This facility offers network connectivity and a location very close to I-95's intersection with Rt 22. Travel time from BWI is roughly 45 minutes.
Future Meetings. It is likely that a meeting will be scheduled for February 2000, but the location is TBD.
